Case closed 2020 T4

 Today Mrs Taaffe came in a Milkyway and confessed that she stole the chocolate and took the HDMI cable. She was one of your suspects because she had her fingerprints all over the scene, She uses an HDMI cable, she uses a scrunchie very often, she likes mini chocolate and she was at school on Saturday the 10th of October. She came in and we showed her the evidence that we then we showed her then she confessed that she did the crime.    

Grammar Cop

 The week I decided to do grammar cop. It was really hard at the start. The second one was really hard but I had some help from my friends. I had to check it, again and again, to see if it was right. But I manage to get 20 out of 20 mistakes. That one was really hard couldn't see was Flordia which was suppose to have capital but I miss it. Florida needs capital because it a city or a town. There was a second sheet for grammar cop that was the hardest one ever I haven't finished it yet there is only 19 mistake and I only found 10. Grammar Cop is harder than I
thought.

Athletics Reflection

 Yesterday we had athletics day. The most challenging events were the 200 meters sprints or high jump but I think the high jump was the most hardest we had to scissor kick over the bar the highest I can go over the bar was 96cm.

The funniest event was high jump, shot put, and the 100-meters sprints but I mostly enjoyed long jump.

The most easest was the 100 meters sprints I also really enjoyed all the sprints.

At the end of the day we had relays I was in the relays in my team I had Ashely, Maddison M, and Alyssa. we came 2cnd. In the relays, Alyssa was the first runner Maddison M was the 2cnd runner I was the third runner and Ashely was the last runner. 

I had an amazing day and I try my hardest.    

 

Fantastic Fingerprints

 This week we did fingerprints with Mrs. Kennedy. I had all whorls on my left hand and on my right I had whorls and loops but mostly loops. I was surprised that I had all whorls on my left. This activity was really fun. We had to go with a partner I went with Teana. The funniest part was rolling your finger on the ink and then putting it on paper.

Math Mystery

 This week for Math Mystery is This Missing Moji. The people that I worked with was Bella. The hardest part was The last question we had to get some help but we got it at the end. The easiest part was the first question. The funniest part was figuring out who the missing Moji. The missing Moji that we find out was the angel Moji.    

CC T3 W10

 This week for chapter chat made a new book cover for the book wink. The hardest part was thinking of some ideas for a book cover. The easiest part was drawing it and clouring it. The funniest part was drawing Ross. I enjoyed doing this chapter chat activated. 

 

Bug Inquiry

 This term we did an inquiry about bugs. The last part that we had to do was making a bug hotel. The hardest part was finding the stuff to build the hotel. The stuff we need were cans, rocks, pinecones, sticks, and some moss that the teacher gave us to use. I work with Melissa, Bella, and Jolie. Jolie brought the pinecones Melissa brought the cans and the sticks Bella was supposed to bring wood she forgot at home but it was ok and I brought the rocks.

Letter of the week 9 Term 3

 This is my letter of the week. This week we did the letter G. The hardest part was finding an onomatopoeia word it took me a long time. The easiest part was decorating the slide to make it look good. The funniest part was everything this is properly one of my favourite letters of the week. I would love to do it again next term.

 

Chapter Chat Rock Band

This week for chapter chat what I did was make up a rock band name. The hardest part was drawing all 3 characters. I named my band Three Little Jars. The people in the band are Jimmy, Ross, and Abby. If you put them all together it spells jar that's how I got the name. The easiest part was colouring it in. The funniest part was making the name of the band. It took pretty long but I got there.

This is how I cook the vegetable stew with a group.

The first day we learned how to be safe in the kitchen. The first thing I learned to be safe was not having pets and some toys on the ground because you might trip on them.

On the second day, we chopped all the vegetables up so we can cook them tomorrow. I didn't bring any vegetables but the teacher gave us a word find so we did that instead.

On the third day, we get to taste our vegetable soup it was ok. I really like dipping the bread in the soup.

My favorite part was learning about being safe in the kitchen.

CC T3 W4 2020

This term we are starting our Chapter Chat. This week for my Chapter chat I did the freak out scale.
I couldn't come to school today so I did at home. My favorite freak-out scale was sitting at the corner, punching the wall, and cry like a baby those were my third favorite. My favorite part was doing the emoji and clouring it in. I didn't have that much coloring pencil at home but I found some but it was very old but it works. The hardest part was thinking of ideas it took me a long time to figure out what I was going to do. Overall I think my freak out scale is pretty good.

This week letter for this week letter of the week is s. My favourite challenge was the double letter because I choose my own name and my own name has two s next to each other. The challenge that I don't like doing this week is making a sentence it took me a long time but it getting easier. 

Whetu Challenge W3 2020

This week for Whetu Challenge we did create a
a character with your learning constellation group.
You had to choose a cartoon family for learning
constellation. In your learning constellation group,
you have to choose to do a character to work on that is in the
family you choose. The hardest part for me was tracing it.
It took me heaps to try to get it. We choose the family

we wanted to do sponge bob but
we only can do one sponge bob so we just did rock
paper scissor to see who does sponge bob

W2 P 2020

This week letter is P. My favourite challenges are the rhyming words.
My second favourite is the double letter that was really fun it was hard at first but I got it at the end.
My least favourite is the sentients one because it took me very long to make a sentients.

Egg Drop Challenge

This week for the Whetu challenge we did the Egg Drop Challenge. We had to work in a group of three my partner was Mia and Amy. The part that I enjoy the most was all of it was my favorite challenge of them all. The hardest part was keeping our creation for the wind because it was destroying it I had to keep the wind away from our creation. When we went to test our drop it cracked but the whole challenge was really fun. We use heaps of tape, 3 straws, paper bags.

, socks, scissors, newspaper, wool, and 2 balloons.

  

Letter of the Week W1 T3

This is the letter of the week it a new thing for us this term I think it was really fun. These are some of my few favorites letter of the week challenges. The first one is how many words that start with the letter b in a sentence. The second one was using an adjective. The word adjective means describing words. The rhyming words are my favorite out of all of them my rhyming words were boo, moo, zoo and these are my three favorites.

 

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is our workshops because we get to choose what we want to do and on every Wednesday we get to do a basketball workshop. The basketball workshop was fun for me because I love basketball.





Something that has challenged me this term has been the art workshop because it was hard to think of ideas and patterns for the middle but I finally thought of one. I did a sunset and palm trees and hill.





The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the tennis ball challenge because we built our tower pretty high and I was proud of it. My teammates were great to work with. Amy was one of my teammates. She had a great idea. The idea was to connect the 2 straws together to hold the tennis ball.





The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was the game in the hall because it was fun and we got to do different games. My favorite game was Seaweed because I did pretty good I didn’t get tagged and there was one other game that I like it was stuck in the mud it was fun because we got to save people and run around it was really hard to be the tagger because we got too tired and exhausted I was very thirsty after that.





An aim I have for my learning is to get to be a rock hero. I am three seconds away from being a rock hero. I always do good in the garage but I never do good in the studio.

Break the codes

EGG CARTON CREATION

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons.

I use brown paint and I mix the yellow and the brown together so it can make a light brown and I use some colour sharpie.

It didn't turn that great because I didn't get to finished it and I could did it better if I had more time.

This challenge was properly the hardest challenge out of all the other whetu challenges.

The easiest part was none because every little step was hard for me.

Math invest

This week there is a new math challenge it called the math investigation this about how many equations you can get ever answer has to get up to 256. In the last 4 days, I manage to get 35 equations. Next week at Tuesday or Monday were going to share our equitation with our teachers. My goal is to get 45 or 50 before next week and I only got one day left or two.

       

R.P.W part 4

Gordon lay in his bed, listening for sounds. CRUNCH! GROAN! SLOBBER! GRRRR!


There it went again. He pulled the covers over his head but the noises wouldn’t go away. He

slipped out of bed and turned his light on. He stood, looking around. He walked over to his

closet and opened it. There was nothing in there except his toys and his clothes. He dropped

to his knees and lifted the covers.


"HI!" the monster said, sliding out from under the bed. Gordon was about to scream when

the monster put his fingers to his lips. "Shhh! Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you."





Gordon didn’t say a word. He stared at the monster. It was purple, had big yellow spots all

over its skin, two fat horns sticking out of the top of its head, sharp claws on its feet and chubby

fingers. Its lips were bright green and its eyes were orange. Gordon noticed a tear running down

its face. "Why, why are you crying?" he stuttered.

I think he might scream and yell for his parents. When the parents come the monster is going to hide for them. Then the kid told what happened but they didn't believe it because they don’t believe in monsters. When they went back to bed the monster came back and the kid started to yell but the monster cover his mouth. The monster said “It ok don’t cry” then the monster want to be friends with him and the kid started to be happy. He started to go back to bed and every night the monster will always come out and say hi.

Math challenge

This week for our math challenge is the murder at the movie someone murder a person at the movies. There are six clues each clue has a secret message and it helps you to figure out the murder. I work with a buddy my buddy was Ashley. The hardest clue was clue 1 it was hard because we had to keep counting the zero again and again but we manage to get it right. Every answer had to have at least one zero in each answer. But in the end, we found out that the murder was BERNICE LOWRY.

 

Whetu Challenge

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to
trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be hard and fun because making a
good and accurate paper plane is not easy but my one did pretty good but I didn’t go to the final
but I did make it to the championship round.

I decided to use the design standard because it smothe and the top bit is really pointy and a pointy
plane is really good. I think if you have a pointy plane it makes it go further. 

The hardest part was getting my paper plane to go into the hanger. It was really hard but I
managed to get it besides it.   

During our competition time, I didn't know how much I scored but I think I got two points.

Read and Predict

As Frank marched through the desert, the high winds blew sand at speeds that stung his exposed skin. He looked back and could see his footprints for hundreds of feet, beyond that the winds had blown them away. He had no idea how long or how far he had walked. He turned his back to the wind and opened his canteen. He attempted to pour it into his mouth, but there was not a drop. He rolled his tongue around the nozzle of the canteen, but it was bone dry. Frank dropped the canteen in the sand and continued walking. His steps slowed. He was getting dizzy. The sun's rays seemed to only increase in intensity throughout the day. It hung high overhead and punished all that resided in the desert beneath it. Frank was lightheaded. He felt his knees get wobbly.....


1. What event is most likely to occur next? I think he might pass out, I think he might be lucky and have someone to rescue him and they had so much water that man was really lucky that someone came to save him but then after he both of them got lost and they only had a little water left and they mostly going to get hydrated.


2. What evidence from the text supports your prediction? Because he said he was light headed when you are lightheaded you might pass out and he said he was dizzy and he going to get hydrated because his carteen was out of water there wasn’t a single drop of water.

Math Mystery

This week for maths mystery we had to figure out how to the missing pencil case I work with Mai she is a great partner to work with I really like working with her. The hardest clue was clue number 3 this clue is about coins because we had to change the 40c to a 10c because the answer won't be right but at the end, we figured out the person that sole the pencil case it wassssss Ruby.

He fed all of the animals, and then he cleaned the stables. It was hard work, but Danny was happy to have a job. At first Farmer Green watched him carefully, but gradually he gave Danny some distance, showing him his trust. Danny was exhausted from a hard day's work. He wiped the sweat from his brow and proceeded to exit the barn. He left the lock in a pile of hay by the shovels and shut the door behind himself, walking away from the unlocked door. Danny was off to see Farmer Green to find out his next task...


1. What event is most likely to occur next? I think that the animals are going to get out and trash and reck the entire place and when farmer green see the place I think he is going to faith. 


2. What evidence from the text supports your prediction? The text said “ He left the lock in a pile of hay by the shovels and shut the door behind himself” and then he was walking form the unlocked door.

Math Pancakes

This week for maths mystery is who were the pancakes thief. I work with Bella Hill Hill. She was a great buddy to work with. There were five clues each clue give you a secret message to find out the easiest one was Clue 3 - Pancakes to 20 This was the easiest for me and Bella. The hardest part was Clue 5 - Amazing Pancakes This one was really hard we had to keep on restarting. At the end we found out that the thief was SEB!!!!!!

    

Tennies ball tower

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws,
and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand
alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Amy and Maitearoha we work together really well I had a
a lot of fun working with them. 

At first, we had trouble with keeping it straight at first it was tall but we want it to be
taller and stronger so Amy role up another pole and stick it to the first pole to make it steadier. 

The easiest thing was rolling up the pole we made to pole it works out better than I thought. 

The best part of our tower was connecting the two straw together to make it tighter Amy had the idea
to connect the to straw.

In the end, It made a tall tower at 73cm and it can hold a tennis ball on top.

Math Challenge

This week I did a math challenge I work with a buddy my buddy was my brother we work together really well. The hardest clue to figure out was clue 2 is about symmetry that one was really hard for me and my brother. The easiest clue was Clue 3. This clue was about if the answer was true or false if there more right answer the naughty gnome is standing if there are more wrong answers then the naughty gnome is sitting. That one was the easiest for me and my brother. In the end, me and my brother found out the naughty gnome is CAPTAIN STEVE.

What event is most likely to occur next is he might get bullied again he already got
bullied at his old school maybe he has to move school again or
not because he made a friend at his new school and maybe he could step up for him.

 What evidence from the text supports your prediction? Because in his old
school he got bullied by his body size they bullied them because
he was fat but his friend help him if he gets bullied.

Whetu Catapult Challenge

The things that I used to make my catapult were rubber band and a plastic spoon and a popsicle stick.

To make my catapult I worked with Josh and Shawn because they had know one to work with so I decided to work with them.

The most challenging part was putting the rubber band on the popsicle stick to make them connect. Sometimes I hurt my hand by using rubber bands.

Overall I think that I did a good job same as my buddies we work really well together.

#1 I think he maybe has to go to another school	Because he said that he didn't like the subjects at school and he gets a bit bullied
#2 I think if there going to move I think there going to go somewhere far away	Because then they are far away from the bullied

Maths challenge

This week I went to do the maths mystery with Amy we both work together the first clue was very hard but at the end, we figure it out. There were 5 clues to help find the mystery person. The easiest part was multiplication triangles. Multiplication triangles are times. Multiplication triangles were the 5 clue which was the last clue and

the mystery person is Florence   

Making ninja star and sword out of paper / at home

I have been making ninja and sword at home at first I keep making mistakes but I keep on trying but I waste a lot of paper but I don't care because I have heaps of paper lying everywhere. My first ninja stars were the ones that haven't got color on it. It took me two A4 papers the next one is a bit bigger it has the blue on it that ninja stars took me four A4 papers. It took me pretty long. The one that took the longest
was the one with the blue on it. The ninja stare that had the blue on it had a lot of folding and tucking things in. I had a lot of fun making it. 

T1 W8 2020

This week for my Chapter Challenge I did Reachsreach Center. The hardest part was finding the fact and also thinking about how to present my CC. The CC for Reachsreach Center was researching a waterfall of your choice the waterfall that I chose was Gulfoss Falls. I chose that one because the picture of the waterfall was interesting. I found out that Gulfoss was slit into 2 waterfalls. My themes were shading I shaded mostly everything. The easiest part was thinking about my background I chose this background because I've had did that background before so I know how to do it I think my CC is a SUPERNOVA.

 

T1 CC 2020

This week I did the digital design with Bella Hill Hill we did a steamboat and I was the research and Bella made the boat I was helping to make the boat also the hardest part was finding the parts of the steamboat. The easiest part was making the background for the boat. The funniest part was making the boat with Bella. I rate my chapter chat with Bella an 8/10. 

T1 CC 2020

This week I did Research Center the hardest part was finding the facts on of the fact where black was the smallest bear in North America. The easiest part was colouring in my background and it was also fun at the same time. I colour in my background blue, purple, red, yellow, orange and green. The funniest part was all of it I had fun doing my Chapter Challenge even that we had a little bit of time but I still got it finish.

 

CC T1 2020

This week I did away with words for my CC the easiest part was shading the letter all you need to do is get a brown colour pencil and get a sharpener and sharp the brown pencil and get the dust from the brown pencil get your finger and just put your finger on the paper with the brown dust in it and just shad the paper in brown. The hardest part was drawing the rose it was kind of hard to find a picture to look at while I'm drawing my rose.

 

CC T1 2020

This week I did a drawing of a dray the hardest part was sketching the dray because I had to add a lot of details and I had to use a rubber a lot because it was so hard to draw. The easiest part was finding the perfect picture to look at while I'm drawing it was very handy and there was also some tuff time but I kept ongoing. I think my first Chapter Challenge was amazing and I love it I rate my own CC an 8/10.

Visual Pepeha

Over the last week, I have been working on my visual pepeha It was really fun drawing our pepeha.





I am proud of how it turned out I tried really hard to do the best I can and I help my brother along the way to get it finish.





What I found challenging was trying to fit all the photos on the star I was scared to cut out one of my family members


mostly my dad.





I worked with TK, Madeleine, Teana and Danny to create my whanau star.

First Blog 2020

Something that has surprised me this week was having the water relays because

it was fun doing all the different games my favourite was the balloon games it was kinda hard

because it almost fell off our backs because we ran way to fast but it was a fun game to play.





A goal I have for myself this year is to talk to people that I don’t usually talk to and I will try my best to

complete my goal so that my goal for this year.





Someone I have helped so far is Danny I help him with his first blog post I really like helping others

that need help.
